This year is China-Eastern and Eastern European countries' cultural exchange year. The Confucius Institute headquarters of Office Chinese Language Council International organized the Confucius Institute students from the Central and Eastern European countries to participate in a two-week summer camp in China. Among them, the Chinese martial arts summer camp, which is mainly composed of the Confucius Institute at the University of Comenius University in Bratislava brought 62 students from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia and so on to Chengdu to participate in Chinese Martial Arts Summer Camp.
Yesterday, sixty foreign martial arts learners led by Ye Rong, Director of Confucius Institute in Slovakia, and Wang Yingshen, President of National Martial Arts Association came to Dujiangyan to make friends with the students from Qingcheng Martial Arts Summer Campus through a kung-fu competition.
Master Liu Suibin, the 36th-generation leader of Qingcheng Sect gave an opening speech and warmly welcomed all the Slovakian friends.
After a brief introduction and some greetings, there came the wonderful time of “making friends through martial arts”. Masters representing Qingcheng Sect performed their unique skills with Qingcheng features, which were widely acclaimed and praised by the audiences.
Then, the foreign representatives from the Slovakia martial arts summer camp also showed their martial arts to everyone. Their neat, powerful movements accompanied by music full of rhythms were recognized and praised by everyone.
Martial arts enthusiast Elena expressed her love to Qingcheng Martial Arts: I enjoyed the performance and performers of Qingcheng primary school immensely. I also feel that I performed very well this time. I love Dujiangyan very much and I hope I can come back to feel the charm of Qingcheng Martial Arts next time."
Because the same world and the same martial arts dream, the world's martial arts lovers can meet, can know each other and meet each other in Dujiangyan. Let’s applaud for Chinese traditional culture!
